Veterans reported to New Jersey Devils camp today and Martin Brodeur was among those who spoke to the media.

Despite speculation this summer that this will probably be Brodeur's last season, he doesn't seem to think the same way.

Brodeur told Devils beat writer Tom Gulitti that he hasn't decided if he'll retire after the season.

Brodeur had another interesting comment as well.

With Brodeur saying Schneider will be the top goaltender within a few years, it leads me to believe Brodeur plans on sticking around for another season if his body and play hold up.

Brodeur is still a good goaltender, but I'm not sure how I feel about a potential return. I think if he returns he'd need to accept a backup role and give Schneider the keys to the team. Schneider is an unrestricted free agent in 2015 and I don't think he'll be anxious to return if he plays two years in New Jersey splitting time.

Obviously nothing is set in stone, but I think it'd be best for Brodeur, Schneider and the Devils if Brodeur calls it a career after this season.

It'll be interesting to see how all this plays out.
