Girgensons and Catenacci Will Switch |

Amerks head coach Chadd Cassidy will mix up his Sabres lines today against Carolina.
Zemgus Girgensons has been promoted to to LW in the top line, next to Johan Larsson and Joel Armia. Dan Catenacci will move from top line LW to take Girgensons' spot at second line center.
I see this as an opportunity for Cassidy to reward two of his most productive forwards with more ice time. Catenacci is a center by trade, as is Girgensons. Perhaps Cassidy wants to see Girgo open more ice for the crafty Larsson and the deadly Armia.
Connor Boland will take the place of the injured Chad Ruhwedel. Boland will skate with West Seneca native Alex Lepkowski.
Note that Swedish center Elias Lindholm will be in Carolina's starting lineup today. The 5th overall pick in the 2013 entry draft, Lindholm hasn't played in either of Carolina's two games at Traverse City tourney. The rookie center injured his shoulder in canes development camp in July and hasn't seen live action since. I like Sabres Swede center Johan Larsson to neutralize Lindholm today.
The line of Catenacci-Larsson-Armia has played superbly in the first two games at the Traverse City event.
Larsson is gritty two-way center who plays a puck possession style. Great passer. He has a low center of gravity and is difficult to move off the puck.
Lindolm is a two-way center who likes to skate and create.
I like the 21 year old Larsson to eat the 18 year old Lindholm's lunch today.

Per the Sabres,
Chad Ruhwedel will not play in Traverse City today due to an upper body injury. Precautionary move.
The Sabres are undefeated in the tourney. They defeated Columbus 3-2 on Thursday. The won a 6-5 OT thriller against the Rangers on Friday.
Freddy Roy will sit out and be replaced by Kevin Sundher.
Johan Larsson will wear the "C"
Connor Knapp will start in goal vs Carolina today.
