Another suitor is rumored to be interested in buying the New Jersey Devils.

This time it's Philadelphia 76ers ownership group, led by Josh Harris, who want to purchase the Devils. This report originally came from Howard Eskin and was later confirmed by Devils beat writer, Tom Gulitti.

I'm not sure how the 76ers ownership group would alter how the Devils run things now, but Harris has extremely deep pockets. Assuming he's willing to spend his money, the Devils would likely be able to spend to the cap every year in order to try and contend, should Harris go through with the purchase.

Regardless of who buys a piece of the organization, either minority, majority or the entire team, the Devils will remain in New Jersey both now and in the future. They're not going anywhere.

It'll be interesting to see if anything comes of this or if it's just another rumor that doesn't come to fruition.
