The Calgary Flames have finally reached an agreement with defenseman T.J. Brodie.
Today the Flames announced that they've signed Brodie to a two-year extension worth an annual average of $2.125 million.
Brodie will earn $1.75 million in 2013-14 and $2.50 million in 2014-15.
Brodie, 23, had 14 points in 47 games during the lockout shortened season. He showed a lot of promise logging big minutes and driving possession with a variety of different linemates, and the expectation is that will continue.
Should Brodie continue to develop the way he has over the past couple seasons, he'll be in line for a larger contract in terms of money and length in two years.
