Update (2:17 PM): The New Jersey Devils are still working to get veteran defenseman Peter Harrold re-signed.

Harrold's agent, Steve Bartlett had this to say regarding talks: "(We've had) good discussions with the team and are optimistic we can get something done."

The 2013 NHL Entry Draft is finally here.

Throughout the day I will be updating this blog with thoughts and scouting reports on any New Jersey Devils draft picks as well as any Devils related news or rumors.

In the meantime, the Devils own the following draft picks:

1st - 9th overall
2nd - 39th overall
4th - 100th overall
6th - 160th overall

I know Lou Lamoriello isn't known for making a lot of roster moves, but given the Devils only have four picks, are likely losing David Clarkson and are hosting the draft, I think they'll do something. I can't see Lamoriello and company sitting at the tables for 10+ hours, making four picks and calling it a day. It'll be interesting to see what they have in store.

As I said, I'll be updating this all throughout the day. It should be fun so stick around and check back often.

Also be sure to follow me on Twitter for updates.
