New Jersey Devils GM, Lou Lamoriello, can scratch another item off the checklist.
Today it was announced that the Devils have signed Mattias Tedenby to a one-year, one-way contract extension. Tedenby's extension will earn him a total of $600K assuming he plays in the NHL.
Tedenby, 23, has spent large chunks of the last two seasons playing in Albany and has been through a lit down there, head injury and all, so he definitely paid his dues while waiting for this contract.
Tedenby scored 10 times and recorded 19 points in 37 games in Albany this past season.
He'll still have to earn his roster spot this year in camp, but a cheap one-way contract will give him a leg up over some competition.
