So, now that we know where The Vancouver Canucks will be selecting in a month, I thought is it would be fun to look at the value of that pick.

Currently, the ISS has these players rank around where the Canucks will be selecting:

20. Kerby Rychel, LW, 6.01, 200, Windsor
21. Josh Morrissey, D, 6.00, 182, Prince Albert
22. Madison Bowey, D, 6.01, 200, Kelowna
23. Anthony Mantha, LW, 6.04, 190, Val-d'Or
24. JT Compher, C, 5.11, 185, USADP
25. Max Domi, C, 5.09, 193, London
26. Nic Petan, C, 5.09, 165, Portland
27. Dillon Heatherington, D, 6.04, 200, Swift Current
28. Michael McCarron, RW, 6.05, 230, USADP
29. Chris Bigras, D, 6.01, 190, Owen Sound
30. Samual Morin, D, 6.07, 200, Rimouski

In the NHL rankings the water gets a murky because it ranks Europeans separately, But here is my best guesses based on who is there:

NA Rank

20. Curtis Lazar, C, 6.00, 190, Edmonton
21. Jimmy Lodge, C, 6.00, 166, Saginaw
22. Nikita Zadorov, D, 6.06, 220, London
23. Samual Morin, D, 6.07, 200, Rimouski
24. Ian McCoshen, D, 6.02, 205, Waterloo
25. Morgan Klimchuk, LW, 5.11, 180, Regina
26. Adam Erne, LW, 6.00, 210, Quebec
27. Josh Morrissey, D, 6.00, 182, Prince Albert
28. Laurent Dauphin, C, 6.00, 165, Chicoutimi

Europe

6. Andre Burakowsky, LW, 6.01, 176, Malmo
7. Jacob Rose, C, 6.02, 175, Leksand
8. Robert Hagg, D, 6.02, 193, MoDo
9. Artturi Lehkonen, LW, 5.09, 160, Kalpa

And lastly, TSN's Craig Button has theses players ranked around where Vancouver is selecting:

20. Rasmus Ristolainen, D, 6.03, 205, TPS Turku
21. Kerby Rychel, LW, 6.01, 200, Windsor
22. Frederik Gauthier, C, 6.05, 210, Rimouski
23. Jason Dickinson, LW, 6.02, 180, Guelph
24. Ryan Hartman, C, 5.11, 190, Plymouth
25. Ryan Pulock, D, 6.01, 205, Brandon
26. Laurent Dauphin, C, 6.00, 165, Chicoutimi
27. Nic Petan, C, 5.09, 165, Portland
28. Curtis Lazar, C, 6.00, 190, Edmonton
29. JT Compher, C, 5.11, 185, USADP
30. Valentin Zykov, LW, 6.00, 210, Baie Comeau

Then, if that's not enough to digest, there is also the option of dealing the pick. Given that Mike Gillis seems to have made it his mission to get younger, we'll set the price at a player who is 25 or younger and still has some years on a contract. These types of guys would be able to help Vancouver both now and in the future.

Here are a few of those possible options:

Stefan Elliott- Colorado
Magnus Paajarvi- Edmonton
Marco Scandella- Minnesota
Louis Leblanc- Montreal
Jon Blum- Nashville
Jacob Josefson- New Jersey
Calvin De Haan- New York Islanders
Chris Kreider- New York Rangers
JT Miller- New York Rangers
Alexander Burmistrov- Winnipeg
Brandon Gormley- Phoenix
David Rundblad- Phoenix
Brett Connolly- Tampa Bay

So what do you do with the pick?
