In a not totally unexpected move, the Rangers have fired head coach John Tortorella. Exit interviews conducted with key Blueshirts players apparently contributed to the final decision.

There will be a lot of rumors of who will take Torts place in the Big Apple and the first name on that list will be former Sabres coach Lindy Ruff.
