After hearing what Francois Beauchemin went through at the end of the season, I promise to never complain about a little soreness in my neck after I sleep on it wrong.

The Anaheim Ducks said that Beauchemin successfully underwent surgery on his shredded ACL after playing the final six weeks of the season in pain. All indications are that Franky was playing on the bum knee as far back as the final month of the season and he was still a workhorse for the Pacific Division winning Ducks.

Knowing what we know now, is there any doubt how valuable this guy is to the Ducks? There is a reason why the Ducks keep bringing his back into the mix. Beauchemin was the rock Anaheim needed to solidify the blueline and many, including myself, believed he should have been given a Norris nod.

Beauchemin had his best season in years. He scored six goals and 24 points and was a team high plus-19, all while averaging 23:37 per game. Just for good measure throw in the fact that his six postseason points tied captain Ryan Getzlaf for the team lead.

Who do you think will play first...Beauchemin or Derek Rose?
