Okay, First things first. The Vancouver Canucks have called a press conference for Noon today.

Early rumblings are that not much is going to be coming out of this. It's very likely Mike Gillis will take to the podium, tippy toe around the issues, thank fans, apologize that this wasn't how he'd hoped the season would go, thank fans, layout a list of injuries that the Canucks had and lastly thank fans.

However, in an ideal world:

-Vigneault would be let go and the search for a new coach would begin
-Gillis would step down as GM, but stay on as President
-Laurence Gilman would slot in as GM
-Joe Nieuwendyk would step in as an assistant GM

But that's just my fantasyland.

What do you think is going down today?

Who you cheering for?

Now that Vancouver is out, I'll likely take a bit of time away from watching hockey, but that doesn't mean I'm done with the game completely.

I now need a team or three to cheer for and a bandwagon to join so here is the teams that I'm pulling for now.

3- Washington Capitals
Ovie is still one of the most entertaining players both on and off the ice. I love his fun, casual personality and that is a major reason I hope the Caps do well. Add in a few of my favourite players in Green, Holtby Johansson, Laich and Backstrom and you have team that I have to cheer for.

2-New York Islanders
Everyone loves the underdog and three of the four Islanders/Penguins games have been extremely fun to watch. As hard as it is to watch Michael – Why the hell did Gillis trade him – Grabner, knowing he should be in Vancouver's top six, he's a guy that I've always been a fan of.

1-Ottawa Senators
Paul "Freaking" Maclean! That's all that needs to be said. I've also been a huge Karlsson fan since the U-18s so it would be nice to see him do well.

Well those are the teams I'm cheering on, who you cheering for?

Well that's a wrap.
