I know where I was, twenty years ago today, at the very moment that Brad May shocked the hockey world.
I was at my friend Dave's wedding reception. Me and 100 of the wedding guests were camped out in the hotel bar. All due respect to Dave and his lovely bride and their families, I led the exodus of humanity, including most of the bridal party, to the smoky, jammed-packed bar to watch the entire game and the iconic "May Day" moment on the Sony Trinitron.
I'd do it again if I had to.
Sorry, Dave. Brooms before bros.
OT GWG to kick the Chowds out of the playoffs. Does it get any better than that?

I still remember the "May Day" goal vividly. I hate that the Sabres would advance past Boston only to be swept out by Patrick Roy and the eventual Stanley cup champion Montreal Canadiens. It was the last time a Canadian club won the Stanley Cup.
