Viktor Fasth's Fourth Shutout Helps Ducks Clinch Pacific Division

It took a little longer than expected but the Anaheim Ducks have finally wrapped up the Pacific Division and number two overall in the Western Conference.

A four-game skid prolonged the inevitable. All it took was back-to-back games against the reeling Edmonton Oilers to get the Ducks turned around before heading into the playoffs.

Jonas Hiller and Fasth combined to allowed a single goal in the two games, earning Anaheim their second division title and first since winning the Stanley Cup in 2007.

For much of the losing streak the Ducks looked disinterested and uninspired. Not the case in Edmonton. Of course the Oilers have lost right of nine, but any win at this point is huge.

The Ducks, now 29-11-6, fly to Vancouver for a game on Thursday and back home to close the season against Phoenix on Saturday before the playoffs begin next week.
