At the time of this writing, late Friday morning, the Penguins’ morning skate has been cancelled and it is unknown whether Friday’s game against the Bruins will go off as planned due to uncertainty in and around the city of Boston.
Here is the audio from
coach Dan Bylsma, taken Thursday after practice.
The team recalled enforcer Steve MacIntyre on Thursday. It’s not known whether the Penguins expect trouble from Boston, but it’s possible the whole Jarome Iginla to Pittsburgh or to Boston drama could enter into the picture.
The Penguins are scheduled to play five times in the next nine days. Their magic number is four points to claim the Eastern Conference no. 1 seed.
Pittsburgh trails Chicago for the President’s Trophy, 70 points to 66. The Blackhawks also have played one less game (42) than the Pens (43).
