Detroit Red Wings @ Chicago Blackhawks

United Center, Chicago

THE BUZZ

The Wings come to Chicago fighting to maintain their string of 21 straight NHL playoff appearances. So the stakes could not be higher. Add to that a couple more subtexts—the Wings were embarrassed 7-1 on home ice the last time the teams met, and this is the last regular season meeting between the two teams as division or conference rivals—maybe ever.

Corey Crawford gets the net tonight after a string of solid outings by Ray Emery. Crawford is in a fight for his starting job. And it's not that he's been bad. It's just that of late, he hasn't been quite as good or consistent as Emery has.
