I don't understand what's going on.

Thomas Vanek is a combined -6 in his last four periods played.

Tuesday night in The Peg, Vanek played for the first time after missing six games. He was out of the lineup due to an upper body muscle strain.

Vanek was -4 in Buffalo's 4-1 loss to the Jets.

Tonight, Vanek was on the ice for both of Montreal's goals.

Is he too injured to be playing? If so, why is he on the ice?

Mikhail Grigorenko and his Quebec Remparts better get the "A" game on, and quickly.

The Remps trail the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies three games to one in the second round of the QMJHL playoffs. The Remparts have lost two straight to the pesky Huskies.

Grigo scored a PPG in Wednesday night's OT loss.

He has four goals and nine assists in 10 playoff games.

What happens to Grigorenko if the Ramparts are eliminated on Friday night?

Sabres GM Darcy Regier told WGR Buffalo earlier tonight that Grigoirenko will report back to Buffalo if/when the Remparts are eliminated. Regier went on to say that Grigo may stay and play in Buffalo, or, he may head down to Rochester to join the Amerks as they prepare for the AHL playoffs.

More will be known in the days to come. Suffice to say, Grigo's first priority is helping his Quebec teammates to dig out of the sink hole that they presently find themselves stuck in.

Buffalo is watching, and waiting patiently to see Friday's results.
