New Jersey Devils President and General Manager, Lou Lamoriello, is dangling the Devils 2013 1st round pick in hopes of acquiring some help on the wing, according to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet.

Quick tidbit that may be related: Marek Zidlicky isn't on the ice for practice. I contacted the Devils PR staff and they said they're not sure the reasoning as to why he's not practicing. Zidlicky has a no-trade clause in his contract so he'll have to approve any potential trade.

The 2013 NHL Trade Deadline is finally here.

Once the clock strikes 3:00 p.m. eastern time NHL teams will not be able to tinker with their roster via trade until the offseason.

While I don't expect the New Jersey Devils to pull off any blockbusters, I could see them making a move or two for some depth up front or scoring help on the wing. Heck, maybe even a faceoff specialist.

Some names to keep your eye on: Drew Stafford, Steve Sullivan, Ray Whitney, and Boyd Gordon among others.

I'll update this blog throughout the day and will have a new post should the Devils pull of a trade.

It should be a fun day.
