A nine-game winning streak gives Pens fans a very little bit of breathing room to consider the future. Two of Pittsburgh’s core players, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin, see their contracts end after the 2013-14 season.

Malkin carries and annual average value of $8.7 million while Letang checks in at $3.5 million (courtesy of capgeek).

Both players will command raises. If the Penguins decide to keep one of the two players, which do you prefer? What should the team do with the other player (and when)?
