PREVIEW 6:00 AM CST

Looking to salvage one win from a four-game homestand, the Dallas Stars (12-12-3) will host the Calgary Flames (11-11-4) tonight at the American Airlines Center. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. CST and will be broadcasted locally on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.

This is the third and final meeting of the season between the two teams. On Feb. 13, the Flames smacked down the visiting Stars by a 7-4 count. Four days later in Dallas, the Stars blew a 3-1 lead in the third period and went on to lose 4-3 in regulation. In the latter tilt, Antoine Roussel, Reilly Smith and Ryan Garbutt scored for Dallas while Michael Cammalleri, Roman Horak, Matt Stajan and Steve Begin (game-winner) tallied for Calgary.

The Stars have gone 0-2-1 on their current homestand, and are coming off an ugly 8-1 trouncing at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night. One of the few positives from that game was the return to the lineup of Jamie Benn from a wrist injury. Trevor Daley's third period power play goal was the lone goal for Dallas.

Dallas is winless in its last four games overall and have been outscored 15-3 in regulation. The team has scored just one even-strength goal over that span.

Calgary brings a six-game road losing streak (0-5-1) into tonight's game. However, the team is coming off convincing home wins against the Predators and Red Wings. Overall, the Flames are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games.

Calgary goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff is not with the team, as he and his wife are awaiting the birth of their baby. Forward Mikael Backland (foot) is day-to-day with a foot injury.

The Stars should have a mostly intact lineup tonight. However, checking line winger Ryan Garbutt (hand) is doubtful and defensemen Aaron Rome (foot) remains out.
