- The Oilers know that their fans want change to the schedule and voted accordingly. He felt strongly that the time was right for the Oilers and the NHL to make this change.

- There will be no further opportunity to change the schedule before the 07/08 season. They took a vote to leave further schedule planning until the 08/09 season.

- Not all of the opposition came from the Eastern Conference.

Elsewhere on the agenda today:

- Rules related to video and video judges.

- Fantasy Hockey was discussed as a means of fan interactivity.

We talked a bit about the new Oilers jersey's as well:

- As everyone knows, there will be no 3rd jersey's for 07/08.

- The Oilers logo remains the same.

- There will be fewer horizontal stripes on the new jersey.

- Each team has the opportunity to roll out their respective jersey's in their own market as opposed to revealing them all at once. The Oilers will reveal their jersey's in late summer, after the playoffs. However, if the look leaks out before then they won't wait.
