Back to the grind stone. Turn the page to the Rangers.

Ron Rolston spoke with media after today's practice.

Tyler Ennis didn't practice on Monday. Ennis received stitches to the forehead after the hit. The good news is that he does not have a concussion after he was smoked face first into the glass by Wayne Simmonds at 4:47 of the opening period of the 3-2 Sabres loss in Philly.

Thanks, NBC Sports

Ennis will be a game time decision for the Sabres on Tuesday night when the Rangers come calling.

****

Ville Leino will be a game time decision vs. NY Rangers.

He has missed the past 26 games with his trick hip.

Enough is enough, Leino NEEDS to play on Tuesday night. His team needs him and he has been willing to play. Its all hands on deck time, folks. There will be no playoffs for the Sabres for the second season in a row, unless the Sabres can win at an 80% rate for the remainder for the regular season. Winning 8 out of every 10 games for the next two months will not be easy. Thats why the players and their head coach need to get their act together now. Their margin for error is gone.

Here's the grim picture for the Sabres right how:

8. NY Rangers- 28 points
______________________________________________________________________

9. Winnipeg- 26 points
10. NY Islanders 25 points
11. Philly- 25 points
12. Tampa- 21 points
13. Washington- 21 points
14. Buffalo- 21 points
15. Florida- 20 points

I sound like a broken record, don't I?

With respect to the Ennis injury, Ron Rolston has very little time, nor wiggle room to find a plausible solution to the glaring problem of scoring goals. The Sabres have only scored 21 goals in their past 10 games.

Rolston chose not to play Leino on Sunday night. He parked Grigorenko, too.

What the Hell does this team have to lose right now?

If every forward on the Buffalo roster played with Steve Ott's level of tenacity, the Sabres would not be mired in such a crisis of confidence right now.
