Could Iginla be the best deadline rental EVER? How much would you pay?

There are reports today that the Flames won't be able to get a whole lot for Jarome Iginla, however talking to my sources I really tend to respectfully disagree...I have always said the amount of respect Iggy gets in the east baffles me. Were he on an Eastern Canadian team or the Bruins, Flyers or Rangers he would be considered one of the top 5 most exciting players in the game...still.

When you think of adding a player to put you over the top has there EVER been a better example then Jarome Iginla?

Iginla is perhaps the best rental player we have seen in a decade. If your team is on the verge I can't imagine a better piece to add to the puzzle and put you over the top. In Iginla you get a guy who not only puts up points but garners enormous amounts of respect throughout the NHL for all the intangibles he brings to the table.

People in Calgary have this funny thing about Iginla. They call it many different things, but they will all be quick to tell you about how they can sense when Iginla is about to find the next level and how they are just blown away by how he can seem to almost "decide" he is going to go out and win a hockey game.

Is there any better addition a team can make?

I feel Iginla has enough interest already between Boston, Detroit and Pittsburgh (I keep hearing how Pittsburgh may be where he wants to go) that the return on Iginla should be pretty damn good.

I am meeting a source for lunch and will be updating The 2013 NHL Trade Rumor Chart is Live! this afternoon, so until then my question for you is....
