The Devils scouting brass (credit given to David Conte and Uncle Lou Lamoriello) may have another diamond in the rough, this one called Reid Boucher.

The Devils' 4th Round pick in 2011, Reid is nearing the OHL's Sarnia Sting's goal scoring record of 58 goals held by Lightning's star Steven Stamkos.
Boucher has progressed his young career getting better and better each year now leading the OHL in the goal scoring category. (15 more goals than the second leading scorer)

According to hockeysfuture.com Boucher is #8 in the Devils' prospects depth chart. #7 is Stefan Matteau.

Boucher has seven more games for the Sting to tie and pass the 58 goal mark for the record. Not shabby company. Good luck to him!

FYI - The OHL's goal scoring record belongs to Ernie Godden of the Windsor Spitfires back in 80-81.

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
