Notes: Martin Brodeur will start...Henrik Tallinder and Peter Harrold will be the healthy scratches on defense...Dainius Zubrus is still recovering from an upper-body injury and will not play...The Devils have 19 points through 12 games, the most they've collected in that span to start a season in team history...The Devils are 14-1-3 in their last 18 regular season games...New Jersey is 7/22 (31.8%) on the power play over their last five games.

Hurricanes to watch out for:

Jiri Tlusty - After a very slow start to the season, Tlusty has picked it up of late. He has five points (3G, 2A) in his last two games and points in four of his last five.

Eric Staal - After not registering a point in his first three games, Staal has been scorching hot of late picking up at least a point in nine straight games and collecting 14 points (7G, 7A) in that span.

Jussi Jokinen - He's struggling mightily so far this season as he has just one assist, a minus-4 rating and 15 shots in 11 games. Jokinen is usually good against New Jersey so perhaps today is the day he snaps out of his slump.

Devils to watch out for:

Adam Henrique - Since returning from injury Henrique has recorded a point in six of seven games and is currently on a five-game point-streak.

Stefan Matteau - Matteau has a point in back-to-back games and is coming off arguably the best game of his young NHL career.

Adam Larsson - He played a season-high 22:48 against Pittsburgh Saturday and was arguably the best defenseman on the ice.
