The Habs didn't skate this morning in Buffalo due to their late arrival from Boston.

Therrien hasn't tipped his hand on who his starter yet. Backup Budaj may get the MTL net. We'll have to wait until pregame warm-ups for official confirmation.

Christian Ehrhoff took that game day skate this morning and will play tonight after sitting out the Ottawa game with a muscle related ailment. Mike Weber also took the skate today, after having sat out Wednesday’s impromptu practice due a maintenance day. Weber has acquitted himself well with the performances that he has delivered since he stepped into the lineup last weekend. He'll play tonight.

As an insurance policy, the Sabres will dress seven D for warm-ups. They are: Ehrhoff, Weber, Leopold, Sulzer, Myers, Pardy and Brennan. Either Pardy or Brennan will have to sit out. The smart money says Brennan will be odd man out due to the robust and simple style that Pardy brought to the lineup in Ottawa on Tuesday night.

Lindy Ruff told the Buffalo News after the skate that Robyn Regehr (high ankle sprain)and Reggie Sekera (bad bruise) are progressing in a timely manner from their respective ankle injuries. The coach said that both could play this weekend.
