Battle of the stats

Powerplay/Penalty Kill percentage

New York (R) - 10% / 78.4%
New Jersey - 14.7% / 85%

Here are the projected lines (subject to change) for the Rangers:

Rick Nash - Brad Richards - Marian Gaborik
Taylor Pyatt - Derek Stepan - Carl Hagelin
Brian Boyle - Jeff Halpern - J.T. Miller
Stu Bickel - Darroll Powe - Aaron Asham

Dan Girardi - Ryan McDonagh
Marc Staal - Michael Del Zotto
Matt Gilroy - Anton Stralman

Here are the projected lines (subject to change) for the Devils:

Dainius Zubrus - Travis Zajac - Ilya Kovalchuk
Patrik Elias - Adam Henrique - David Clarkson
Ryan Carter - Stephen Gionta - Steve Bernier
Krys Barch - Jacob Josefson - Bobby Butler

Bryce Salvador - Mark Fayne
Andy Greene - Adam Larsson
Marek Zidlicky - Anton Volchenkov

Notes: Martin Brodeur will start...Adam Larsson will remain in the lineup...Henrik Tallinder will sit as a healthy scratch for the second consecutive game...Stefan Matteau will sit but no decision has been made on if he'll stay...Peter Harrold is the other scratch...Martin Brodeur is three games away from being the 93rd player ever to reach the 1,200 games played mark.

Rangers to watch out for:

Darroll Powe - Powe is set to make his Rangers debut and in a rivalry game, nonetheless. You can bet he'll try and make a good impression any way he can.

Carl Hagelin - After a great rookie campaign, Hagelin has gotten off to a very slow start this season. Hagelin has just two points in eight games.

Henrik Lundqvist - Lundqvist has been struggling so far this season as he is 3-4-0 with a 2.78 goals against average and .904 save percentage.. Perhaps a game against New Jersey will help snap him out of this slump.

Devils to watch out for:

Ilya Kovalchuk - He doesn't have a point in four-games and has played over 100 minutes in that span. The Devils are hoping moving Zajac back to the top line will get him going.

Ryan Carter - Carter is currently on a three-game point-streak, the longest of his career. Carter has one goal and three assists in that span.

Steve Bernier - He is coming off the 11th two-goal game of his career and like Gionta and Carter, had his coming out party as a Devil in the playoffs last season - against the Rangers in particular.
