Zack Kassian
All eyes will be on Kassian tonight for two reasons. One, can he continue his incredible offensive play. And two, how will he affect the Hawks much used, “rough up and cheap shot the twins” routine. My guess is he plays a role in both by notching one on the power-play and providing the intimidation to keep the Sedins safe.

On a side note, is it just me or have there been a lot less runs at the twins? Somebody is excelling at his new job. Give that man a bounty, I mean bonus Gillis.

Duncan Keith
I happen to like Duncan Keith a lot, in fact, even if there wasn’t the history from last season it is always fun to watch the best defenceman on the planet. I doubt much will happen other than a few choice words, maybe a few extra hits, but nothing notable. Just sit back Canucks fans and enjoy watching a fine player who always brings his “A” game against Vancouver.

Daniel Sedin
Daniel Sedin is the man who has the second most to prove tonight. Last year he was knocked out by the Hawks and tonight it’s time to return the favour by playing an outstanding game. I doubt we see much other than a few four letter words…well six if you’re Swedish: “KNULLA YOU DUNCAN”.

Roberto Luongo
Roberto Luongo has more to prove than any other player tonight. The man who left fans chanting his name on Wednesday night, now gets his chance to solidify his spot as the old/new number one guy. Lu looks to be in one of those groves where not much is going to beat him. I think we see more of the vintage Luongo tonight.

Jonathan Toews
Anytime you get a chance to one of the most complete players on the planet it is a treat. Toews is kind of like Ryan Kesler, without the sense of humor, but that doesn’t make him any less dangerous. With 7 points and +5 rating, Toews is well on his way to his first Selke.

Well that’s your brief warm up

Enjoy the game

Ian
