The Sharks put their undefeated 6-0 record up against the young but promising Oilers from Edmonton. People around the league are waiting for the Sharks to falter however they have been winning with experience from the veterans, solid and sound goaltending, and contributions from everyone.

San Jose schooled the Oilers 6-3 on the road in game two of the season. They led 6-1 after the first period and coasted through the last two periods.

Although not everybody has been scoring everybody has been contributing. The penalty kill has improved regardless of the numbers and assistant coach Larry Robinson’s fingerprints are all over that.

After narrowly beating the Ducks, who owned the Sharks last season it is safe to say that San Jose is for real and since they are the only undefeated team left in the NHL they have served notice.

This is the second to last of a six game home stand for team teal before they hit the road so continuing the streak could prove to be imperative for the team’s quest to be best in the west.
