According to Art Staple, Travis Hamonic left Winnepeg yesterday in a walking boot with a sprained ankle. Uh oh. It is doubtful he will play tomorrow in Pittsburgh against the Penguins.
Rumor has it, okay, confirmed sources have it, that Lubomir Visnovsky will report to the Islanders no later than February 11th. As the Isles have a home game that night, will he be in the line-up or in the press box? Depends on when "no later" actually is.
Maybe he will be ready to face the Rangers on Thursday, February 14th.
Rangers? On Valentines Day? Really?
So Matt Moulson scored his 100th goal as an Islander yesterday to very little fan fare. That's a shame. Had he done it at the Coliseum, I'm sure there would have been a little hoopla.
How good is David Ullstrom? Very good.
Michael Grabner is once again getting his chances, but still having that same difficulty converting them into goals.
John Tavares scored his first (of many) goals of this season last night and I hear Alexander Ovechkin scored HIS first goal as well. I'm thinking JT gets more this year. How about you?
Now that we have seen Thomas Hickey play, Wonder when we'll see Radek Martinek? OH! That's right! Probabaly -- Tomorrow in Pittsburgh. Welcome Back Radek.
Anything else going on??? Anything?
