Oilers Ready for a Wild One

Quick hits going into tonight's game:

- Dwayne Roloson will start in goal.

- Tom Gilbert and Toby Petersen, both born in Minnesota, will play tonight.

- Craig MacTavish will not be behind the bench for tonight's hockey game. He has traveled back to Ontario to be with his mother, who is ill. At this point it is expected that he will only miss tonight's game, but that could obviously change.

There's no overstating the importance of tonight's hockey game for either team. Minnesota is sitting in 8th place in the West and Edmonton is 5 points back. The Oilers are in desperate need of some momentum heading into the All-Star break and a nice divisional win would be a solid place to start.

The bad news for the Oilers is this: Minnesota just won 3 in a row on the road...and they're 17-4-2 at home.
