The Pardy's over.

Adam Pardy was a victim of circumstance in Buffalo. He and his $2 million salary been waived.

The Sabres are content to find roster spots for their own organizational prospects.

Like Shaone Morisson last season, when the music stopped, there was no seat for Pardy to sit down on.

The Sabres have also waived forwards Kevin Porter and Nick Tarnasky.

When the Sabres brought 9 D to training camp, it signaled an open competition for the 6th and 7th D spots.

Myers, Ehrhoff, Leopold, Regehr, Sulzer, Sekera, Weber, Brennan, and Pardy battled for the top seven spots. Eight men remain.

Brennan has survived the waiver process. Had he been exposed, he'd have been snatched up in a WNY minute.

NHL teams have until 3pm EDT Friday to finalize their rosters.

The Buffalo Sabres today announced that two fans will have the opportunity to drop a ceremonial puck prior to the team’s season-opening game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday, January 20 at First Niagara Center.

Two lucky winners – one season-ticket holder and one member of the Blue & Gold Club – will be selected at random and announced Friday, Jan. 18.

All Sabres season-ticket holders and members of the Blue & Gold Club, the team’s official waiting list for season tickets, were automatically entered into the contest and have received emails alerting them to the contest.
