It's Monday morning and more good news regarding the Sabres and hockey. As you may know by now, Mikhail Grigorenko has been invited to training camp.

Here's what he has done the past two seasons in the QMJHL:

The NHL schedules will be released on Wednesday, and the Sabres announced that they will release information regarding season tickets and mini packs.

All I know is that the NHL is starting up again within the next two weeks.

Here are a few questions that were submitted for today's mailbag (#6):

How would a 48 game schedule be determined? Would it be heavily weighted towards West Conference vs West Conference and East vs East?
A 48-game season at this point is likely, and it will rely heavily on games within the conference. The West and East won't meet very much at all. There may be only a small handful of games played out of conference.

With the US' succes so far in the Juniors and with Buffalo having so many young D-men in the pipeline, wouldn't it be a good idea to bring Phil Housley in as an assistant coach either in Buffalo or Rochester?
I've received this question from a few people, and I have to say that it would be a good idea. Having him at either the NHL or AHL would be beneficial. The blueline is crowded right now, so even more reason to bring him in.

Name: Alex
What happens during the NHL season if Ryan Miller does not turn into elite goalie he once was? Do the Sabres consider trading him?
Well, this is a shortened season, so I don't think they do anything this year. Next season is Miller's contract year, which could be pivotal in determining his future. I think that is the time we will see how well Miller can play in a full season.

Feel free to submit questions for the next mailbag, which will be posted on January 14th:
