4:07 pm: As expected, the NHL has cancelled more games.

NEW YORK -- The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular-season schedule through January 14. The cancellations are necessary due to the absence of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL.

A total of 625 regular-season games—50.8 percent of the season—were scheduled for October 11 through January 14.

7 am: Another game that could have limped into an overtime period if not for Matt Donovan being able to break the tie with less than eight minutes left of the third period with his second goal of the night to give the Tigers a 4-3 win over Albany Devils improving their season stats to 13-11-1-2. (I always liked that kid from the Midwest!)

Casey Cizikas started the Tigers scoring at 7:10 of the first period, the first of his two goals for the night, but the two teams had difficulty holding on to a lead throughout the game. Nino Niederreiter was held off the score sheet last night for the first time in quite awhile.

Some guy named "Gionta" managed an assist for the Devils on Tedenby's goal. Brock Nelson did not play last night.

The Sound Tigers play again on Saturday against the Phantoms -- which is a boatload more than I can say about the NY Islanders. Maybe they won't play in 2013 either.

I hear tell the League will announce more game cancellations some time today as the two sides continue their staring match.

You blink!
No you blink!
I'm not blinking first, it has to be you!
No way in hell, I haven't blinked in 30 years, I'm not starting now!

yeah.... that.....

Very disappointed that Terry McDermot didn't win The Voice and really enjoy Disney's Prep & Landing series. Oh the things you find to occupy your time when you're not watching hockey.
