Sidney Crosby finds a new set of pads for a new game
Sidney Crosby tended net Friday for a dek hockey team in Pittsburgh. The local story can be found
here.
"I had all the [goaltending] gear on," Crosby said. "I was talking to the ref once toward the end of the game and I think he recognized me."
"My referee walked over just to kind of say, 'Hey, you're not the normal goalie. It's about time they get a goalie.' " said Chris Evans, general manager of Dek Star. "Instead, he looked at him and he was like, 'Holy [cow] that's Sidney Crosby.' "

Monday, I posted an article about Jordan Staal and how the Penguins would have lost him for nothing had GM Ray Shero not dealt him during the draft -- provided the 2012-13 season is wiped out.
Which brings up an interesting perspective. How many unrestricted free agents will be floating around heading into 2013-14?
For whatever reason, I checked out the Los Angeles Kings' roster on Cap Geek first, and former Pens blueliner, Rob Scuderi, stood out as a player without a contract after this season.
Which impending unrestricted (or restricted, if you choose) free agent would you like to see in the black & gold (blue & white)?
Here's a link to
