Christian Ehrhoff, who is currently under contract and tearing it up offensively with the Krefeld Penguins, is dealing with an injury right now. The seriousness of the injury is not known right now.

On Friday night, Ehrhoff's Krefeld Penguins played the Iserlohn on the road. The chippy game turned down right nasty in th efinal period when a parade to the penalty box erupted.

Iselohn forward Giulinai earned a match penalty (among 17 PIMs) when he back stabbed Ehrhoff from behind into the boards. According to reports, the Sabres defenseman had was bleeding from his head, and was forced to visit the trainer's room.

The exact nature ofErhoff's injury is not known at this time. We'll see if Ehrhoff joins his squad for Sunday's game vs. Hamburg Freezers.

The last thing the Sabres need is Ehrhoff to be injured.

Speaking of Ehrhoff, he recently criticized the NHL owners' rejection of the new offer from the NHLPA.

Ehrhof has scored 8 goals and has added 6 assists in 19 games in his home town. He's +6.


Ehrhoff told news agency DPA, that he keeps in touch with the negotiations that are presented stalled out.

"It's frustrating to have to watch, is rejected as our very fair offer," said Ehrhoff, the news agency dpa . "It is time that the owners come to us sometimes."
