The American Hockey League today announced that Chicago Wolves right wing Zack Kassian has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions during a game at Charlotte on November 6.

Kassian will miss Chicago’s game Friday (November 9) at Milwaukee.

The suspension was precipitated by Kassian throwing his stick, which hit an off-ice office. That’ll get you busted every time, Kickassian.

In 11 games in the Windy City this season, Kassian has scored 4 goals and has added 3 assists. He has 24 PIMs.

Call it a co-inky-dink that Kassian is suspended in the same week that it was discovered that Sabres/Amerks centre, Cody Hodgson, has a broken bone in his right hand. The injury will keep CoHo off the ice for 10-14 days.

Hodgson and D Alex Sulzer were trade to Buffalo in exchange for Kassian and Marc Andre Gragnani at the 2012 NHL trade deadline.

In 30 games with the Rocehster Amerks last season, Kassian scored 15 goals and added 11 assists.
