During this week, we will be determining the Sabres all-time roster. We are doing this because Hockeybuzz is organizing and entire season simulation with all-time teams from the 30 current NHL teams.

Here's what we have done so far and what is coming up:

Monday - Goaltenders: Dominik Hasek and Ryan Miller
Tuesday - Defensemen (6)
Wednesday - Forwards (12)
Thursday - Reserve skaters (2)

Today we will try and determine which defensemen deserve a spot on the Sabres' all-time roster. Below are 20 Sabres defensemen. We need to get it down to six.

This category should be much more difficult than the goaltenders were. So, here you go:

If, for some reason, there is a defenseman that you honestly think should be on the all-time team, but is not listed above, let me know in the comments.

The votes are in. It was no surprise that Dominik Hasek and Ryan Miller dominated the votes for the Sabres top two goaltenders of all-time.

#1 goaltender- Dominik Hasek:
The Dominator clearly deserves this spot. In 491 games for the Sabres, Hasek posted a GAA of 2.22 and a save percentage of .926, along with 55 shutouts.

#2 goaltender- Ryan Miller
Miller's 252 wins are the most this franchise has ever had by one goaltender.

Later today, I will post the simulation of tonight's originally scheduled game against Columbus.
