The NHL and NHLPA may have taken away hockey from the fans at the highest professional level, but many Ottawa Senators prospects continue to compete and develop in the North American junior ranks and internationally.

Below, a compilation of where they are and how they're performing to-date.

Jarrod Maidens(Owen Sound)
-- Maidens is still recovering from post-concussion symptoms suffered from a knee to the head in a November 30th game against the Barrie Colts. He has not played yet this season. Considering this Owen Sound report on his injury, that's expected.

Matt Puempel(Kitchener)
-- Puempel's already scored three goals in a pair of games with the Kitchener Rangers.

Cody Ceci(Ottawa)
-- This year's first-round selection at the NHL Draft has been cooking in his fourth-year with the Ottawa 67's, scoring one goal and four assists in two games.

Stefan Noesen(Plymouth)
-- The 21st overall selection in the 2011 NHL Draft has scored a pair of goals in the opening two games with Plymouth.

Chris Driedger(Calgary)
-- The Winnipeg, Manitoba native has been impressive in two early starts with the Hitmen, winning both contests and turning away forty-five of forty-eight shots[1.50 GAA].

Francois Brassard(Quebec)
-- Ottawa's other goaltending selection from this year's draft has also won both of his early season starts, stopping fifty-six of sixty shots for a .933 save percentage / 2.00 GAA split.

Mikael Wikstrand (Mora)
-- The mobile, two-way defenseman currently skating for Mora in Allsvenskan has three goals in four contests.

Jordan Fransoo(Victoria)
-- Fransoo had one goal in five games in the pre-season with the WHL's Royals, but has been held scoreless through the first two regular season tilts. Prior to the regular season, Fransoo was a regular feature in the arena's penalty box, with 16 PIMs.

Nikita Filatov(Ufa Salavat Yulayev)
-- Although not a prospect per se, Filatov is still a member of the Ottawa Senators organization and has been lighting it up with Ufa Salavat Yulayev, scoring six points (2G/4A) in seven games.

Worth noting: Sergei Gonchar (Magnitogorsk Metallurg) has a pair of assists since joining up with the KHL affiliate;
