With the lockout now underway and no ending in sight, many players are exploring their options overseas; some of which are New Jersey Devils.

Here is the latest on Devils players and the possibility of playing in Europe.

- Marek Zidlicky will play in Europe this year. He will reportedly join fellow Czech's Jaromir Jagr and Tomas Plekanec on HC Kladno of the Czech league.

- Ilya Kovalchuk officially signed his contract with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL today. He was also named Captain of the team.

- I exchanged emails with Martin Brodeur's agent, Pat Brisson, and he told me that if the lockout doesn't end in a timely manner Brodeur will start to seriously consider options in Europe. Brisson went on to say that Brodeur will not consider any contract offer that does not include an out-clause that would allow him to return to the NHL if and when the season resumes.
