Per Yahoo Sports Dmitry Chesnokov, Maple Leafs winger Nikolai Kulemin has signed on with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL, along with Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin.
The 26 year old Kulemin played for Magnitogorsk from 2005-2008 before signing with Toronto in 2008.

Chesnokov also reported that center Mikhail Grabovski has been approached by two KHL clubs.

Grabovski, who signed a five year, $27.5 Million contract extension with the Leafs last March, has received inquiries from HC Dinamo Minsk and Barys Astana.

There are also reports that winger Leo Komarov, who played three years with Moscow Dynamo before signing with Toronto over the summer will not return to the Russian capital to play his former club. The Baltic born winger was demoted to the AHL yesterday and is likely to play for the Toronto Marlies until the lockout has ended.

Toronto Sun columnist Steve Simmons reported via Twitter that the Leafs have decided not to send goaltender Ben Scrivens to the minors. The 26 year old Scrivens signed a two year, $1.25 Million deal last week, with the first year being two way, but Simmons indicated that Toronto was concerned that Scrivens would be claimed on waivers.
