New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur will consider playing options in Europe should the NHL go into a lengthy lockout, according to the New York Post.

Brodeur, 40, did not go overseas during in 2004-2005 when a full season was lost due to a lockout.

In the event there is a lengthy lockout, which appears likely at this point, I do expect Brodeur to play in Europe; however, I'm certain he will not sign anywhere in Europe unless there is an out-clause in the contract should the NHL and NHLPA agree to terms and ratify a new collective bargaining agreement.
