Lou Lamoriello and the New Jersey Devils have yet to begin contract talks with Travis Zajac or David Clarkson, according to Tom Gulitti.

If unrestricted free agency rules remain the same when a new collective bargaining agreement gets ratified, Zajac, 27, and Clarkson, 28, will both become unrestricted free agents July 1st.

Any hope of Zajac or Clarkson re-signing before the current collective bargaining agreement expires Saturday should now be an afterthought.
