Buffalo Sabres prospects

I've received comments that fans would like for me to talk more about prospects.

Here are a few players that I wanted to mention. Some of them are not necessarily prospects, but haven't played a full season in Buffalo.

Luke Adam - What started as a great season, turned into a disappointing year for Adam. He had 20 points early on, but that ended up to be his total in 52 games. I'm not a big fan of Adam, but he is young, has potential, and we could see him improve this season.

Brayden McNabb - I'm excited for this kid to earn a full time spot on the blue line. Although the defensive end is overloaded right now, I think McNabb can earn a starting spot within the next year or two.

Matt Ellis - I respect the work ethic of Ellis. I don't think many fans realize how hard he works. He's not going to score often or knock people around, but he consistently provides the team with an honest effort. His skill level isn't the same as most players, which is why he plays on the bottom two lines. However, his hard work is what I believe is keeping him a spot on the team.

Mikhail Grigorenko - Many fans have already viewed him as a guarantee to earn a spot in the lineup come this season. There's always an uncertainty about players coming into the NHL right out of the draft, even though Grigorenko was supposed to be taken very early on. I do think he will have a spot, but I would remain a bit cautious about him until he proves that he can play in this league. I'm not doubting him or his ability, but I don't want to assume he'll be fine when we have yet to see him play in the NHL.

These are just a few that I wanted to comment about today. Let me know your thoughts or who else you would like to hear about.
