Let's kick off this daily 'Sabres in Focus' with captain Jason Pominville.

Perhaps the only one who was consistent throughout the entire past season, Pominville has put up solid numbers during his career in Buffalo.

A former 2nd round pick (55th overall) in the 2001 draft, Pominville has played all 82 regular season games for the Sabres in five of the past six seasons.

He's a two time 30-goal scorer and has put up at least 20 goals in each of the past six seasons. Pominville also has 28 points (12 G, 16 A) in 45 career playoff games. Of course, his most memorable being this one:



So what can we expect from Pominville this year? I believe we will see more of the same from Pominville, and that wouldn't be a bad thing at all.



The question is, can he improve on last year's performance?
My prediction: 82 GP, 32 G, 45 A, 77 pts
