Derek Roy has played in his last game as a member of the Sabres. The Dallas Stars have traded Steve Ott and Adam Pardy for Derek Roy.

Ott will be 30 by the start of the season and was a former 1st round (25th overall) pick by Dallas. Ott made his NHL debut in 2002 and has hit at least 11 goals in each of the past five seasons, with 19 and 22 being his highest.

Ott has also collected over 130 penalty minutes in one season seven times throughout his career.

Adam Pardy is a 6'4", 220 pound defenseman. He's played 183 regular season games and has 29 points (4 G, 25 A)

Something tells me the Sabres are not done. They dumped Derek Roy, but didn't get a top player in return. Buffalo also signed another defenseman.

If Bobby Ryan is still the main interest for Buffalo, they may have to part ways with Tyler Ennis.
