Flyers Would Opt for Yandle

Talked to two sources here at the NHL Draft tonight and they both said the Flyers are very much in the mix to get into the Keith Yandle sweeps - if Phoenix moves him.

Apparently, Coyotes GM Don Maloney is finding there is serious interest for his 25-year-old defenseman, who a lot of clubs like - including Detroit, which I am told is prepared to make a solid offer.

The Flyers are also talking to Anaheim about Bobby Ryan but the price - Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier plus James van Riemsdyk is high. There are some in the organization that would do this deal but right, Schenn and Couturier are not available.

This much seems certain. Both sources said the Flyers would prefer using top assets for Yandle than Ryan.
