I will update more of The Rumor Chart throughout the day...

Starting today Rumor Season is opened for business and I will be putting up several smaller blogs throughout the day...so here we go with the first one...

On Parise...

Reports today that Zach Parise has said there is "No Way" he signs with the Rangers. This reminds me Peter Forsberg and the Red Wings back in the day, and does restore some faith that players can actually really have true dislikes for rival teams...but it is also interesting that Zach would be so sure.

On the Leafs...

Hearing more and more stuff regarding Luongo...no deal yet, but I have heard there are some dissenting opinions on how much the Leafs should give up in the deal. The market just isn't that strong for the Luongo and the Leafs will need Vancouver to take some salary back. Also Toronto is very much in on Nash. Also hearing Matt Frattin, who could head to arbitration, may be actually close to signing an extension in the near future instead of arbitration...

On the Flyers...

I keep hearing of a two-part plan in Philly. First I believe the Flyers are going to make a huge push to try and trade for a d-man who could fill in Pronger's shoes and being the cornerstone for the defense "for the next 6-10 years." The deal would include the Flyers moving 2 top six forwards + and would also dictate what they would do with Matt Carle...who the Flyers really like and want to keep. If the deal doesn't go down by the draft I am hearing Carle will return and the Flyers second plan would be to go after Wideman...

On the Habs and Flyers...

Hearing the Flyers and Habs may be looking at a backup goalie swap...Bobrovsky for Budaj (e2)

Updated on The Rumor Chart Today:
Many of you have asked me to list players I have updated...so far this morning I made changes to my percentages on the players discussed here and Luongo and Nash.

To see the most current team speculation on all the possible trade-able players and some comments updated regularly, go to The Rumor Chart. Players are added and adjusted throughout the days as to what percentages I feel are their most likely destinations based on the hundreds of phone calls, emails, texts, IMs and telegrams I receive.
