Love him or hate him, (and I happen to love the guy) Jeremy Roenick knows what he is talking about when it comes to the on ice aspects of the game of hockey. His off ice opinions tend to be as whacky at times as his suit and tie combos, however, you have to trust that the guy knows his stuff when it comes to the rules, regs, and the "code" of the NHL.

This morning, Roenick joined Dan Patrick and his staff to talk about the Raffi Torres assault on Marian Hossa in Game 3.

Roenick says that Torres didn't use the proper technique when finishing Hossa. He demonstrates below. Play the video past the Torres discussion, and you get JRs takes on goalie interference, as well as getting hit in the "smoothie".

The Pittsburgh Penguins are toast. They trail the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0 in thier first round series. The Pens are facing elimination tonight with a depleted lineup. Neal and Asham are suspended for tonight. Now comes word that D Paul martin isn't healthy and will miss Game 4 tonight. There's talk that another D, Michalek, will also miss tonight's game for the Pens.

Here are the lines that Bylsma ran at today's game day skate:

Kunitz-Malkin-Kennedy
Sullivan-Crosby-Dupuis
Tangradi-Staal-Cooke
Jeffrey-Vitale-Park

With Marc Andre Fleury playing like an overwhelmed rookie, the Pens are cooked.

Tonight's game in Philly is going to be a bar fight to the "nth degree".

Dan Bylsma: "We know what’s at stake. We have a lot of pride in this dressing room...We know you’ll see our best hockey in Game 4”

Enjoy the golf course, Penguins.

Sidney Crosby spoke this morning after the skate in Philly. The captain says there's nothing to say to his team in the room before the game tonight.

You remember Chris Therien, right? Big, nasty Dman for the Flyers. Listen to his criticism of Sidney Crosby from Sunday afternoon's gongshow in Philly.

Therien's not a big fan of Crosby's antics.

Speaking of elimination games, the Vancouver Canucks are dangling precariously on the brink. The LA Kings can close them out tonight.

Question of the decade in Couver:

Which tender will Alain Vigneault start tonight?

Corey Schneider or Roberto Luongo?

I'd start Schneider. he started Game 3 and lost 1-0. The guy is too good to be wearing a baseball cap in an elimination game.

The Canucks may have Daniel Sedin back for tonight's game. He skated in LA on Tuesday and says that he can contribute on the PP, if needed. Vigneault doesn't have a choice. he must play Daniel, who has not played in the past four weeks after suffering a concussion at the hands of Chicago's Duncan Keith.
