The New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers are back in the playoffs after missing it last season - and several more seasons in Florida's case - and their series will begin Friday in Florida at 7:00.

Here are some quick tidbits on the upcoming series between the Devils and Panthers:

- Both teams won two of the four meetings against each other in the regular season.
- The Panthers were 12 games over .500 in the regular season at home. They were .500 on the road.
- The Devils were 11 games over .500 at home and nine games over .500 on the road.
- New Jersey enters the playoffs having won their last six games. The Panthers enter the playoffs winning their season finale against the Carolina Hurricanes.
- The Devils finished the season with 48 wins. Florida finished with 38.
- Former Devils John Madden and Scott Clemmensen will play his first career playoff series against them.
- The Devils finished the season with a plus-19 goal differential. Florida finished with a minus-24 differential.
