Drew Stafford scored twice and an chipped in a key assist.

Ryan Miller made 26 saves and the Sabres defeated the East-leading Rangers 4-1 at MSG. HUGE statement game for the Sabres in their quest for a playoff berth.

With the win Ryan Miller improves to 13-5-4 against NYR in his career with a 2.21 GAA and .927 SV%.



Tyler Ennis scored a goal and had two assists and rookie Travis Turnbull scored his first NHL goal. The Sabres have had six players score their first NHL goal this season for the first time since 1992-93. The 6 to score their first in 92-93: Richard Smehlik, Viktor Gordiouk, Yuri Khmylev, Scott Thomas, Doug MacDonald and Matthew Barnaby.

Rookie Marcus Foligno had two assists and has five goals and four assists in six games since he was called up from Rochester on March 10.

The Jets scored first in the sudden death 4 on 4, and now, the Sabres are in eighth place in the Eatsern Conference standings with seven games to go in the regular season.

When Pat Kaleta hurt his hand in Tampa on Monday night, Darcy Regier called Rochester for gritty forward Travis Turnbull.

He played his first NHL game vs. Montreal.

He scored his first NHL goal in Manhattan in a money game vs. Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers.
