Toews Update; Vancouver Preview |

I just heard from a source on Jonathan Toews—and it isn't necessarily good news.
Toews is still experiencing "dizziness," and until that subsides, don't expect to see him playing. Timetable indefinite. Apparently Toews tried to play through similar dizziness previously. The bottom line here is simple: patience.

SCOUTING REPORT:
Although a first round matchup with the Canucks is looking more and more unlikely, if the Hawks are to advance, they will likely see their friends from the Pacific Northwest at some point in the playoffs.
A big game? Absolutely. And yet, as well as these two teams know one another, both have gone through some fairly significiant changes since they last met.
The Hawks, even without Jonathan Toews, are playing arguably their best structural and defensive zone hockey in the last two years. Vancouver has added some nice lower line pieces in Sammy Pahlsson and Zack Kassian.
Should be a good one.
